Tilt Shift in the Windy City
I’ve been dabbling in Tilt Shift more and more. I am looking for motivated ways to make it part of my time-lapse workflow. I did come across a nice piece of my hometown (Chicago).
Unfortunately the piece lacks proper credits… so any info in comments welcome.

I am going to be doing some of my own experiments this week with tilt shift. I have a new lens with me as well as the Miniature Effect in my D7000. I’ve got a 1 day trip to the Magic Kingdom planned and I think we’ll pull off a few shots of the crowd to see how things look

So is your new lens a Tilt-Shift lens, or did you just process it with your Miniature Effect and in post? Looks great! I’m working on making a montage of timelapses for Northwestern, just for fun.
Photographed, directed and produced by Tony Lytle at WGN-TV in Chicago. He shot entirely with a Tilt-shift, it was not done in post. The long version was cut down to a 30 sec spot for WGN.

What gave the piece that stutter effect? Frame Rate? If so, what rate?
It’s typically done at 1 fps or 2 fps. You can the stretch the movie 300 to 500% in AE to repea frames
